Dentistry:
Dental hygiene is an important part of your pet's overall health.
All animals are put under general anesthesia for dental procedures- unfortunately we can't ask them to keep their mouths open! General anesthesia allows us to as we can not ask them to keep their mouths open, we need to establish a patent airway , and to ensure proper examination and cleaning . Their vital signs are closely monitored using some of the latest monitoring devices. We have digital dental radiographs, ultrasonic cleaning unit and polisher. We also have a high power drill to aid in extractions of infected/diseased teeth. We perform prophylactic cleanings, extractions, biopsies, and any other oral procedures required.

Surgery:
We have a complete surgical suite with general anesthesia (both isoflourance and sevoflourane gas), digital vital sign monitors (ECG, Blood pressure, Pulse oximtry, Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, etc), CO2 laser, electrocatuery, and fluid pumps. We perform routine and emergency surgeries. These surgeries include but are not limited to spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory, biopsies, removal of foreign bodies, urinary stones, spleens, and masses or tumors.
We use a CO2 laser rather than a scalpal which minimizes bleeding, decreases pain, and allows for quicker recovery. For more information on CO2 laser: http://aesculight.com/pet-owners/aesculight-advantage/
After surgery, your pets are closely monitored during recovery in our ICU cages located in our treatment area. Supplemental heat is provided via hot water heating pads or warm water incubators (for exotic patients). We also provide you with written and verbal instructions at the time of discharge.

Ultrasound:
Routine ultrasounds are performed by one of our veterinarians in house. Ultrasound is a non-invasive, non-painful diagnostic tool used to investigate an internal cause for your pets clinical signs/illness. Most pets tolerate this procedure without sedation. This is a valuable diagnostic tool that we are excited to offer you.
We also have a traveling veterinary radiologist who we can call in to assist us with more complex cases.
